Birthday Girl

What better way to start up this blog again by wishing my youngest daughter a very happy birthday! By the time I am done writing this Kenzie will be 6 yrs old- (Apr. 17th) I am so proud of her- I feel like she had to grow up a little faster than the rest of the girls had to. When Tyson was born she was only 17 months old. I remember her following me around with her bottle in one hand while trying to reach up to me to hold her as she was crying- Oh I was a wreck- There I was with four kids ages 6, 3, 17months and a newborn...and a husband who worked a lot...oh yeah and trying to keep it together in front of my kids as I was trying to process the fact that my son had down syndrome. She has had to come second a lot but you know what? She is so good with Tyson- she goes along to his music therapy classes to help him- she plays with him all the time and she teaches him good and bad! Even though it was very rough in the beginning their closeness in age is such a wonderful thing. I love the fact she still wants me to rock her- I love that she has a special blanket- she has the most beautiful eyes. I could go on and on...who wouldn't about their own child? Once again I am a little sad she is another year older but very proud of her.

So Lucky

My girls were headed to NYC with their Grandma to visit Aunt Kelly- let's just say EVERYONE was happy in some way- my girls b/c they get to see Kelly and spend time with Grandma, Kelly gets to see them all,Grandma is going to see The Lion King, Grandpa gets some alone time and I am down to one child for a couple of days!!!!!!! Life is good! lol
I think I can handle Trouble T...I hope!
Skip and I took Tyson to Lake Tobias
I had all these plans to run around and do errands, clean the entire house since I was down to one kid- instead we spent the entire weekend together with this awesome little boy who makes me laugh and smile all the time...the same little boy who puts his arm around me when he is in trouble and kisses me on the cheek thinking that will make me forget....it does. It may have taken me some time to get over the shock of "this isn't how my life was to turn out" when Tyson was born but let me tell you- I wouldn't trade him for the world.

Back To School Today!

except for this troublemaker!

around midnight last night he woke up shivering and throwing up- I figured it was the flu but he was burning up and shivering so my dad and I took him to the er. He had a temp of 105.2 and a chest x ray confirmed it was pneumonia. 2:30am we were on our way home and at 9am this morning Tyson was acting as if he had never felt sick!-see above photos..lol
I've got such great family and friends- always helping me- Thanks Dad for going along as much as you hate hospitals!

Christmas Concerts

Last week Kenzie and Tyson had their preschool concerts- Kenzie was very excited for it- finally got to wear her new outfit she picked out- she has no problem being "vocal"...to put it nicely!

This was Tyson's first time singing in front of people- standing still for a good amount of time..ect. I think he was mesmerized by the crowd because he did great- no attempts to run off- sang and did the hand motions. Ok he did try to eat the bells but big deal! I was very proud of the both of them.

Are You Sure??

When I have more time I will update my blog with pictures of NYC and preschool Christmas programs but this darn Christmas thing coming up has me a little overwhelmed right now- I refuse to wrap a whole s**t load of presents Dec. 24th so I am trying to wrap a handful a night when the kids go to bed. S0 anyhow..there are things that Tyson does that truly amazes me everyday and I jokingly say to myself,"are you sure he has down syndrome? haha"

He absolutely loves to help his mom...his older sisters could take some notes from him...(two older sisters..Kenzie likes to help)

And just tonite I was watching him trying to hold a bunch of blocks- so he started picking them up and tucking them under his chin so he could grab some more..he came over to me with them and said "bock"(block) - the whole idea of him knowing to tuck them under his chin to be able to grab more amazed me- Keep up the good work Buddy!

What's Important

I'm always tired, have no time to myself, feel like I have no life outside of the home....but then I look at these four beauties

and realize they are my life, they complete me and soon enough all that free time will come to me and then I won't want it anyhow...

I will be sitting at home wishing they were this young again...
