Happy 5th Birthday Courtney!!!!

Courtney had a big day today. Her grandma took her to Hershey Park to have breakfast with the characters. Then her friends came over for cake and ice cream and then we celebrated again with grandma and grandpa. She kept saying this was the best birthday ever. I can't believe she is starting kindergarten next month. We love you Courtney!!!

Back To The Norm

Ok so after four kids I am finally realizing things I can do to make life a little less crazy in this house- doesn't mean I am always going to do it though! We left our house for the beach clean and got our carpets cleaned so I am trying to stay on top of the house and one way to do that is contain Tyson! I am using a pack n play for him- when I have to do something in another room and nobody can watch him or when he is just going around looking to throw anything he can find, he is going in there. I can't keep up with him! He is so busy. I just asked Skip if he was glad to have three girls instead of three boy's and he replied,"I am now!" The girls were never as busy as Tyson is. I'm not complaining though- anything Tyson does is good to me- it just shows me how determined he is and him walking at 17 months says a lot.
Once again my sweet Alina melted my heart. This morning as Tyson was making us laugh as usual she told me how lucky we are to have him. She is such a wonderful big sister to him- She has a special bond with him knowing he has down syndrome.

Beach Time

SO we are at the beach and the kids are having a great time. We've gone to the pool,walked pretty far for ice cream one night(Courtney wasn't too fond of that-her nickname is lazy bones)and today we went to Jungle Jim's which is a big waterpark. My mom and dad went along. I believe that is the most favorite thing so far for my kids. They have something at the park for every age. Tyson loved walking around and splashing in the water. It was fun.
Yesterday Alina told me when she gets older and has a baby she wants the baby to have down syndrome. I asked her why and she told me because of Tyson. I just wanted to cry happy tears.....that little guy has no idea the happiness he brings to his family.

Pack,Pack,Pack!!!!!

So we are headed to the beach on sat. Where on earth do I put the things that I am packing ahead of time so Tyson doesn't destroy them? Not working too well. This year with Tyson will be so much better. He was still having somes issues due to his surgery he had 2 months prior to being at the beach last year. We are all looking forward to going. I told Skip it has to be 50/50 with taking care of Tyson at the beach. His response???? "how about 75/25".....real funny.

Great Weekend

Well my family had a really fun weekend together. Skip didn't work at all so we had a lot of overdue family time together. We went to the pool, took all the kids out to lunch, had our friends over who also have four kids for the 4th of July. The kids had a great time. Skip is always working a lot so it was nice having him home and be off today....and we got along!!!!haha- Guess this is preparing us for our week long trip together to the beach. 5 days..the kids are counting down.
